Samsung Screen Repair Costs UK 2026 — Complete Price List by Model

May 22, 2026

Cracked the AMOLED on your Galaxy S24 Ultra? Smashed the inner fold on a Z Flip 5? Lost the touch layer on an A53 after a kitchen drop? Samsung screen replacement pricing varies more than any other major Android brand because Samsung makes the broadest range of phones in the industry — from £150 budget A-series to £1,599 Z Fold flagships, with display technology that’s evolved every year. This is the most up-to-date UK price list we publish, based on the live workshop pricing we charge for every Samsung Galaxy we service.

Samsung’s own out-of-warranty repair pricing for current flagships now runs £200–£525, which is why most UK customers go to a high-street repair specialist for anything outside the first 24 months of warranty. Independent specialists like us use Samsung-spec AMOLED replacements that preserve 120 Hz refresh, the in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and S Pen pressure sensitivity — at less than half Samsung’s official price.

Below you’ll find the full price list for every Samsung Galaxy we repair in our Golders Green workshop, broken down by series. Plus a clear explanation of what’s special about AMOLED replacement, why the foldables cost so much more than the regular S-series, and when a Samsung Care+ claim is actually worth it.

Samsung screen repair cost UK — at a glance

For most Samsung Galaxy phones the screen-replacement price falls into one of five bands:

  • £40 – £85 — budget A-series (A02s through A16)
  • £100 – £140 — older Galaxy S series (S8 through S20), all Note models
  • £125 – £180 — current Galaxy S series (S21 through S25 Plus)
  • £220 – £235 — Ultra models (S22 Ultra, S23 Ultra, S24 Ultra, S25 Ultra)
  • £195 – £365 — foldables (Z Flip and Z Fold inner displays)

Samsung’s own Out-of-Warranty repair starts at £150 for an A-series and reaches £525 for the Z Fold 6 inner display. The full per-model breakdown is below.

What determines the price of a Samsung screen replacement?

1. Panel technology — TFT, AMOLED, Dynamic AMOLED 2X

The cheapest Galaxy A models (A02s, A03, A04, A05) use TFT LCD panels — quick to manufacture and cheapest to source. The A50 onwards mostly use AMOLED, and the full S-series uses Samsung’s Dynamic AMOLED 2X with 120 Hz adaptive refresh and HDR10+. Ultra models add Gorilla Glass Armor anti-reflective coatings that have to be replaced as one bonded unit. That’s why Ultra prices jump notably above the standard S-series.

2. Integrated S Pen digitiser (Note and Ultra models)

The Galaxy Note series and the Ultra-suffix S-series phones (S22 Ultra, S23 Ultra, S24 Ultra, S25 Ultra) have an EMR digitiser layer built into the screen that picks up the S Pen’s electromagnetic signature. That second digitiser layer is laminated into the panel, can’t be replaced separately, and adds to the parts cost — which is why Ultra screen prices are 40–60% higher than the equivalent standard S-series.

3. In-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor

From the Galaxy S10 onwards Samsung embedded an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor directly beneath the display glass. Replacing the screen means either reusing that sensor (which means careful disassembly), or shipping a new sensor-bonded panel — which costs more but works first-time on reassembly. We use the bonded option on all S-series and Ultra replacements.

4. Foldable inner displays — why £260–£365

The inner screen of a Galaxy Z Flip or Z Fold is the most expensive smartphone display on the market. It’s a flexible OLED panel with a plastic top layer (not glass), bonded to a precision hinge, with the digitiser laminated in. Samsung itself charges £450–£525 to replace these — we do it for £260–£365 using genuine-grade replacement assemblies. The outer cover display on a foldable is a regular AMOLED and prices accordingly.

How does this compare to Samsung’s official repair pricing?

Samsung’s UK Out-of-Warranty Service is significantly more expensive across every model. Approximate 2026 UK pricing:

ModelSamsung officialOur priceSaving
Galaxy S25 Ultra£395£235£160
Galaxy S24 Ultra£385£220£165
Galaxy S23 Ultra£365£235£130
Galaxy S25£305£150£155
Galaxy S24£289£150£139
Galaxy Z Flip 6 (inner)£449£260£189
Galaxy Z Fold 6 (inner)£525£365£160
Galaxy A16£195£85£110

Samsung’s pricing includes genuine Samsung parts and a 90-day Samsung warranty. Our pricing uses Samsung-spec AMOLED replacements that preserve 120 Hz refresh, the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and (on Note/Ultra) S Pen pressure sensitivity, with a 30-day workmanship warranty plus lifetime cover on the new panel against display defects.

When does a Samsung Care+ claim make sense?

Samsung Care+ runs £8.99–£19.99/month depending on model and covers screen replacement at £79 for any phone in the program. Worth it if:

  • You have an Ultra or foldable worth £1,000+ and you drop your phone more than once a year.
  • You’re inside the first year of ownership and haven’t claimed yet.
  • You travel a lot and want the international claim coverage.

Not worth it if you have an A-series or older S-series, you’ve already paid for Care+ once without claiming, or you’re past the 24-month coverage window. In those cases an independent specialist is the better economics by a wide margin.

How long does a Samsung screen replacement take?

  • A-series: 30–45 minutes typical, while you wait.
  • S-series and Note: 45–60 minutes typical (ultrasonic fingerprint re-pairing adds 10 minutes).
  • Ultra (S22 Ultra through S25 Ultra): 60–90 minutes — titanium chassis and bonded screen need careful disassembly.
  • Z Flip outer screen: 60 minutes typical.
  • Z Flip / Z Fold inner screen: 90 minutes – 2 hours. Hinge alignment and adhesive cure time are non-negotiable.
  • Samsung Service Centre: 5–10 working days, including shipping. You can’t drop in walk-in like at an Apple Store.

Where to get a Samsung screen replaced in London

Samsung’s repair network in the UK is less convenient than Apple’s. There’s no equivalent of an Apple Store; instead Samsung Care customers post their device to a Samsung Service Centre with a 5–10 working day turnaround. Your three realistic options for an out-of-warranty Samsung Galaxy screen repair are:

  1. Samsung Service Centre by post. Highest price, 5–10 day turnaround, genuine Samsung parts, 90-day warranty. You’re without your phone for the duration.
  2. Samsung Experience Store (Stratford, Westfield, Bluewater). Walk-in for some repairs but mostly still ships internally. Roughly same pricing as Service Centre.
  3. Independent repair specialist like us at While You Wait Repairs in Golders Green. Roughly half the Samsung price, walk-in service every day, same-day turnaround for most repairs, 30-day plus lifetime-panel warranty.

FAQs — Samsung screen repair cost

How much does it cost to replace a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra screen?

£220 at our Golders Green workshop for a Samsung-spec AMOLED replacement that preserves 120 Hz adaptive refresh, the in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, S Pen pressure sensitivity and the Gorilla Armor anti-reflective coating. Samsung’s official price is £385.

Why is a Samsung Galaxy Ultra screen more expensive than the standard S-series?

Ultra models have a built-in EMR digitiser layer for the S Pen, plus Gorilla Armor anti-reflective coating and a larger panel size. All three add to the parts cost. Typical Ultra screen is £70–£85 more than the same-generation non-Ultra Galaxy.

How much does it cost to repair a Galaxy Z Flip or Z Fold screen?

Z Flip outer cover screens are £85–£115. Inner fold screens are £195–£260. Z Fold outer cover screens are £135–£160. Inner fold screens are £295–£365. These are the most expensive smartphone displays on the market because they’re flexible OLED panels bonded into a precision hinge. Even so, our price is roughly half Samsung’s official rate.

Will the S Pen still work after a screen replacement?

Yes on Note and Ultra models. The S Pen relies on an EMR digitiser layer that’s built into the replacement panel — pressure sensitivity, tilt and air-action gestures all work exactly as before. We re-test S Pen function before handover on every Note or Ultra repair.

Will the in-display fingerprint sensor still work?

Yes — we use AMOLED replacements that include the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor in the correct alignment. We re-enrol your fingerprint after the repair so it works first-time. The optical sensors used on some A-series and older S-series phones are also preserved on replacement.

Are aftermarket Samsung screens worse than genuine?

Cheap aftermarket panels are noticeably worse — dimmer brightness, lower refresh rate, no Always-On Display, fingerprint sensor often won’t work. We don’t fit those. The Samsung-spec replacements we use are genuine-grade panels (in many cases made on the same OEM lines that supply Samsung) and preserve every feature of the original.

Can a cracked Samsung screen damage the phone if you keep using it?

Yes — cracks let dust and moisture into the AMOLED stack, which causes spreading dead-pixel lines, touch issues and eventually total display failure. The under-display fingerprint sensor also stops working reliably with significant front-glass damage. Replacing within a week of the damage costs the same as replacing the day it broke; leaving it for months sometimes turns a £150 screen swap into a £200 screen + digitiser job.

Do you offer a warranty on Samsung screen replacements?

Yes — a 30-day warranty on parts and workmanship as standard, plus a lifetime warranty on the new panel against display defects (dead pixels, backlight failure, ghost-touch from the new panel itself). Accidental damage to the new screen isn’t covered — that’s a fresh repair.

My Z Flip / Z Fold inner screen has a crease that’s now a crack — what should I do?

Don’t keep folding it. Inner-fold cracks spread quickly when the hinge moves — bring it in as soon as possible. We can usually still do the repair even after the crack has spread; what increases the cost is if the digitiser layer underneath also goes (sometimes the case on phones used heavily for a week or more after the initial crack).

Can I post my Samsung Galaxy to be repaired?

Yes. Many of our central and East London customers prefer to ship rather than travel. Message us first for tracked postage instructions; typical turnaround is 48 hours from receipt to dispatch for non-foldables, 3–4 days for inner-fold work.
